Excerpt 7 from "Seasons"

The boon is farther than I thought
As time does pass away
But bowed and bent, you’ll find me not
This heart does well portray
The changing life, days clear of rain
The wonder time, it comes again
This early, bright and wondrous fall
The tint on leaves just says it all
I’m marching down through endless time
I’ll celebrate these loves of mine
The fickled days will come, I’m sure
To set the scale and bound the cure
But time, it ticks, as clock winds down
The seasons cycle, clock’s rewound
We’ll whirl away with colors strewn
The autumn’s rainbow, fire and dune
Unlike the summer’s prism pure
The red of kiss and sky’s azure
